Position Summary:

‍

As a Principal Software Engineer, you’ll help further Ohanafy’s mission to transform the beverage industry by providing technical leadership across our Salesforce-based platform. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer who can drive architectural decisions, deliver complex features end-to-end, and elevate engineering standards across the team. You’ll partner closely with Product, Customer Success, and engineering leadership to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across Ohanafy’s product suite.

Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and technical direction for complex, cross-functional initiatives across the platform.
• Design and implement scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions within Salesforce and integrated systems
• Drive engineering best practices across the team (code quality, testing, documentation, design reviews)
• Serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor across engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and support Senior and mid-level engineers through pairing, coaching, and thoughtful code/design reviews
• Translate product requirements into technical designs, implementation plans, and delivery milestones.
• Own delivery of mission-critical features from design through release and long-term support.
• Identify, prioritize, and reduce technical debt while balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform health.
• Support complex customer escalations and implementation challenges in partnership with Customer Success.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, patterns, and technologies that improve reliability, developer velocity, and scalability.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and roadmap discussions to ensure technical feasibility and sustainability.

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building and supporting production-grade systems and solving complex technical problems
• Proficiency with Salesforce development (Apex) and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, influence architectural decisions, and drive engineering standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across Product, Customer Success, and Engineering

Desired:

• Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, limits, and performance optimization
• Experience building SaaS products and/or multi-tenant systems
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience with integrations (APIs, middleware/iPaaS, event-driven patterns, data pipelines)
• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, System Architect) or the ability to obtain
• Experience establishing engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security best practices)
• Proven track record of mentoring senior engineers and raising the technical bar across teams.
